Painted this for the Masquerade Ball as an auction item. Brecksville Center for the Arts will host a Masquerade Ball on November 3, at the Hermit Club in Cleveland. This will be their annual fund raiser. No tickets sold at the door. This is my contribution to the silent auction. It’s a sunflower in Black and White.
“The gaudy leonine sunflower
Hangs black and barren on its stalk
And down the windy garden walk
The dead leaves scatter – hour by hour”
~ Oscar Wilde
“Turn your face to the sun and the shadows follow behind you.”
~ Maori Proverb
